International Children's Book Day

International Children's Book Day was celebrated on April 2nd. This day is intended to support the joy of reading and encourage interest in children's literature, and has been taking place since 1967 and always on Hans Christian Andersen's birthday.

However, since April 2nd was a Sunday this year, we celebrated it at school on Friday March 31st. In addition to bilingualism, reading is an important part of our school profile and on Friday we transformed our school building into a small reading world.

The children could read in a tipee, a paddling pool, on an air mattress etc. We also darkened one room so that the children could read with a flashlight.

Some children brought a sleeping bag or a blanket and their own book.
